Valentine's Day 2017 Giveaway

- Love, Love, Love- It’s Valentine’s “Season”

And I say “season” because as a florist, this is the busiest season for us in the flower world, (and I have a surprise for you, keep going) I’m also a cinephilia, a term used to refer to a passionate interest in cinema.

I love everything about movies, from soundtrack, to custom design, to all the talented actors/actresses, (special shout out to one of my favorites, Meryl Streep, this year Cecil B. DeMille Award winner at the Golden Globes - you’re AWESOME, and NEVER overrated!!), and of course the screenplays.
I’m one of those people that enjoy going to a matinee by myself, (as I’m writing this blog, I’m thinking…. La La Land.:) Most likely you’ll find me Saturday nights curling up with my gang eating popcorn and watching a movie, and yes…….“The Oscars” are my Super Bowl.

So, when time came to create a Valentine’s Campaign, being that I’m a romantic at heart, it was a no brainer to find inspiration on my favorite movies.

Now, if you’re a girl (or a sensitive boy), I’ll most definitely get an AMEN from you when I say that "THE NOTEBOOK" is the ultimate best love story EVER!!!! I can recite almost every line, and I’m not ashamed of it. ;) Here’s is my favorite:

And if you haven’t read the book you probably don’t know…. Noah planted a rose garden for Ellie every time she had a baby…... AWWWWWW, I love you Noah!!!! (warming up for the surprise?)

Now, Valentine’s is a lot about friendship too. We remember and celebrate those who are ALWAYS there for us. Who comes to mind for you? I can't imagine life without my top 3 friends, I love you guys.

For me, Woody and Buzz are the ultimate “I’ve got your back” kind of friends, and maybe because I’ve watched Toy’s Story over a 1000 times when my girls were toddlers, it has a warm place in my heart!!

Ok, this is my last one, so let’s get dark and twisty here. Who doesn’t love the story of Pat (super cute Bradley Cooper), and Tiffany (super talented academy award winner Jennifer Lawrence), in Silver Linings Playbook?
Two individuals with tons of baggage from past relationships, not to mention some pretty heavy emotional issues, but despite all that, an unexpected connection forms between them, and silver linings appear for both of them!!!
There you have, my top 3 "Valentine’s" movies. If you haven’t seen them yet, I totally encourage you to do so,  you won’t be wasting your time, I promise. :) - (here it comes)

What about you? What are the 3 movies you would watch again this “Valentine’s Season”?. Participate by leaving a comment below for a chance to win our Valentine’s signature floral arrangement "Blush Sweet"!!! We will announce the winner Saturday 11, 2017.

The true love story comes from life experiences and true love, not movies.
My bride and I married August 18th, 2000.
With her God has given me the most awesome partner ever!
To honor our relationship and to show her that I appreciate also that she does, on the 18th of every month since August 18th, 2000 I give her a Card and a gift. Sometimes something big, or sometimes something simple. Always to show that my love for her grows bigger ever day and to thank her for all that she is too me.

Katie, I went back to those days that, all I would EVER watch was Disney Movies, however your personal selection was a bit of surprise coming from such sweet girl as yourself. ;).

Hey girls, I hope we are not intimidating the guys, they are probably on Super Bowl mode. Go Patriots….What a come back!!!

Awesome blog post, my friend! The three romantic movies I have watched again and again are Somewhere in Time, Return to Me, and almost anything Jane Austen or Tom Hanks/Meg Ryan.

If I get time to watch any movies this Valentine’s season, they’d be: “To Kill a Mockingbird”, “Steel Magnolias”, and “Fargo”. …I’m not too romantic, huh? These are the movies I’ll probably watch, though: “Inside Out”, “Cars”, and “Beauty and the Beast”.

I’m a movie lover as well and valentine’s day is the perfect season to revisit my favorite romantic movies. My absolute favorite is You Got Mail with Meg Ryan and Tom Hanks, I just love how they don’t let their ambitions get in the way of their love story. My second favorite is Pride and Prejudice, I just love Elizabeth’s attitude of not letting her era define her as a woman and Mr. Darcy pursuing his true love versus what others expected of him. My third and last is Something Borrow, it’s a very twisted love story and that’s why LOVE IT!!!!

I truly enjoyed your blog almost as much as I enjoy your beautiful flowers and I can’t wait for your next subject!
Happy Valentines Day Elaine!

I must say, I enjoyed reading your Valentine’s Day Blog. Thank you for sharing!
The Notebook starring James Garner and Gena Rowlands is definitely in my top three Valentine’s Day movie picks. Noah loved her with all his being from beginning to end.
Wuthering Heights, based on the novel by Emily Bronte, the 1970 film, starring Timothy Dalton and Anna Calder-Marshall. My cousin Kallie, sister Irene, and I saw it at least 20
times. Bought the soundtrack album and listened to it over and over. Heathcliff and Cathy, the star crossed lovers.
The epic 1939 civil war romance film, Gone With the Wind, Scarlett O’Hara played by Vivien Leigh and Rhett Butler played by Clark Gable. Star crossed lovers portrayed in Margaret Mitchell’s novel.
#4, (even though you only requested 3), is Rodgers and Hammersteins magical, romantic, musical, Cinderella, starring Lesley Ann Warren, released in 1965. My sister and I know the words to every song and still sing them to each other even now.
So there you have it….
